Burnout isn't personal failure!

Burnout is input versus output, when input is overloaded. 


It IS a physical body/mind systemic imbalance that results when all your realy life to-do lists outpace your body's ability to manage it all. You can't keep up with the Output... completed tasks, trauma handled, dreams not yet met.    


Bottom Line:  Burnout means you are working too hard!  AND it's killing you!


How do you know? 

  1. Your body isn't quick on recovery - you don't bounce back easily emotionally or physically

Rest, Time-Off, Self-Care aren't enough!  


The Solution isn't more discipline or productivity. 

Recovery requires restoring mind/body regulation, rebuilding your systems capacity to deal with all the input, throughput, and output! 


Recovery also must include making all your working and personal pieces fit so you feel comfortable in your mind and body as you reconnect to the larger world you live in. 


Clever coaching words like Regulate, Coherence,  Connectivity are also popular marketing buzz words, but it all comes down to getting your body to listen to  your mind, and your mind to calm your body, so you can think clearly, so you take back space to strategize, re-structure, anlayze, make decisions that need to be made... and ACT!

Leaders in all fields are at double risk of burnout when also managing divorce.  Divorce Overwhelm threatens personal and professional identity, it also threatens career credibility, family security, health, emotional and physical regulation, and future security. 


Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Psychologists, even Psychiatrists are at risk of burnout when client need and pain get past carefully constructioned self-protection.  Highly empathetic professionals often suffer first burount at 5 years into their profession, with 10 yrs being the point at which a second major burnout might occur.  Some professionals shutdown, losing resiliency, creating distance and disconnection from clients, and often life in general.  Many leave their profession.  Solutions like therapy help but may not offer systems and tools that really help.  Standard self-care also falls short of relieving burnout.
